How to become a member?

To become a member

A. You submit the completed membership form

Membership Application fees

For any membership application, the registration fees are payable only once, on registration.

Rates: N20,000

For a company

The membership fees are a function of the company’s turnover.

 Rates:

Category A - Turnover over N300 million.............. N110, 000
Category B - Turnover ranging from N50 million to N300 million.
N55, 000
Category C Turnover lower than N50 million......... N30, 000

Privileged Membership - All interested companies.......N180,000

For individual

This type of membership gives access to the information services of the FNCCI and makes it possible to have access to certain preferential rates (use of our facilities, UCCIFE cards and some others).

Rates: N12, 000

B. Two sponsors among the members of the Chamber

will support your membership application

Members’ List.

C. The Membership committee endorses your file

The committee meets before each board meeting.

5th Article - Membership

a) Membership of the Chamber shall be written application stating the particular category of membership desired, addressed to the Secretary at the registered office of the Chamber or shall be by invitation of the Board.

(b) Such application shall be supported by written proposals from two members of the Chamber.

(c) An application shall be submitted to the Board for approval at the next meeting following receipt of an application or any other meetings as is convenient.

(d) All applications shall be referred to the Membership Committee and be considered in accordance with the provisions of the By-Laws of the Chamber.

6th Article - Honorary Membership

The Board may admit persons distinguished in Commerce or Finance to Honorary membership of the Chamber. Such Honorary members shall not be required to submit any written application as specified in Article 5 (a) hereof and shall not be entitled to vote.

7th Article - Resignation of Membership

(a) A member may resign his membership of the Chamber by giving written notice of such intention to the Secretary.

(b) Such notice must not be less than one calendar month, and must be prior to 1st January of the year.

(c) Any resignation notice which does not expire by the 31st of December of the same year shall be null and void and the member concerned shall be bound by his obligations to the Chamber in the ensuing year.

One of the two sponsors must have been an active and financial member for at least two years.

The two sponsors must write a letter of recommendation, which introduce the candidate in specific terms.

If the candidate does not know any representative of a member company; he should request the support of two members of either the Board or the Membership Committee to whom he will have paid a visit.
